Lynda Rutherford
Lynda graduated from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary studies in 2005. She went on to work in first opinion practice before completing a rotating internship at the Royal Veterinary College, London (RVC). After this Lynda completed a residency in Small Animal Surgery also at the RVC. She became an ECVS and RCVS recognized specialist in Small Animal Surgery in 2015 and has been working in referral hospitals since then. Lynda moved to back to Edinburgh as a Senior Lecturer in Small Animal Surgery and to at the Hospital for Small Animals, the university referral hospital, in March 2025. She really enjoys working with a collaborative multi-disciplinary team especially managing patients with traumatic injuries and trying to improve life for brachycephalic dogs.
