Ava Tan
Originally from Singapore, Avalene (Ava for short) graduated from the University of Melbourne, Australia in 2012. She undertook a rotating and medicine internship in Sydney, Australia before commencing her ECC internship and residency training at UC Davis. After 1 year post-residency research fellowship at UC Davis, Ava worked as a senior lecturer in ECC at Massey University, New Zealand and has finally moved back to Australia where she is part of the critical care team at the Small Animal Specialist Hospital in Sydney. Her interests include coagulation, platelet-neutrophil interactions, electrolytes (especially potassium), fluid therapy and transfusion medicine.
