Claudia Iannucci

Claudia Iannucci is a clinical instructor in Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care at the University of Zürich. She received her degree in Veterinary Medicine at the Alma Mater Studiorum in 2012. After working in a Small Animal Clinic in Prato (Italy), she relocated to Vienna in October 2012 to complete a one-year assistantship in Small Animal Surgery and afterwards a Small Animal Rotating Internship at the Vet Med Uni Wien. In January 2015, she started an 16-months specialized Internship in Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care at the University of Bern, followed by a 3-years Residency program. During this period, she also completed her doctoral thesis with the title “Comparison of an isotonic crystalloid solution versus a 6% hydroxyethyl starch 130/0.4 on hemostasis in canine spontaneous hemoperitoneum”. Since October 2019, Claudia has moved to
Zürich, is become an ACVECC and ECVECC Diplomate and completed a 2-year fellowship in extracorporeal therapy (2020 – 2022) under the supervision of Dr. Vigani, DACVAA, DACVECC, DECVECC. Her special interests, except for yoga and running, cover hemodynamics, fluid therapy, acute kidney injury, acute toxicology and extracorporeal therapy in small animals. Claudia shares her pretty wooden floor apartment near the Letten in Zürich with a super cute rescued German Shepard.
