Hamsini Yagneswar

Hamsini Yagneswar, BVSc, DVM, DACVECC, MRCVS, is an emergency and critical care specialist working as an independent consultant working with hospitals across the UK, USA, and India. She completed her veterinary degree in Madras Veterinary College, India in 2011, completed specialty training in emergency and critical care in the USA and became board-certified as a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care in 2018. With over ten years of experience in emergency and critical care, Hamsini’s work centres on developing advanced specialty services built on evidence‑based protocols, simulation‑driven team training, and digitally supported postgraduate education. Her clinical interests include respiratory emergencies, rapid vascular and airway access, point‑of‑care ultrasound, and trauma management. She currently consults for referral hospitals in the UK and USA. Hamsini has played a key role in establishing the first 24-hour Emergency & Specialty Animal Hospital in India, and is actively involved in training clinical teams and setting up similar hospitals across India. She also designs custom educational software and high‑fidelity simulation tools that translate complex critical care concepts into practical, repeatable skills. Her sessions focus on practical decision‑making, team performance, and hands-on strategies that clinicians can apply immediately in high‑pressure emergency settings.
