Laura graduated from Cambridge University in 2011 and worked in small animal practice prior to completing a rotating internship at the Royal Veterinary College (RVC). She finished her Emergency and Critical Care residency at the RVC in June 2019 and became a diplomat of the American and European Colleges of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care shortly after. She is currently a lecturer in Emergency and Critical Care at the Royal Veterinary College. She has a particular interest in the management of acute kidney injury, endocrinological emergencies and point of care ultrasound. She has lectured both in the UK and overseas on a variety of topics and is the vice president of the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Ultrasound Society.
